This virtual meeting on Teams (Join Meeting) will introduce you to representatives from each committee within the Illinois Section, providing a brief overview of each committee and opportunities to connect with our Section leaders to get more involved. Our committees host a range of events and meetings throughout the year, and those committees presenting with more details include:

5. Laboratory and Pre-Treatment

7. Student & Young Professionals

The New Member Meeting is a no-pressure event—attending doesn’t require any commitment. However, if a committee interests you, I encourage you to reach out to the chair afterward to introduce yourself and express interest in getting involved. No prior experience is necessary!

As a new member of CSWEA, you’re joining a remarkable network of professionals, including manufacturers, consultants, municipalities, utilities, and many others committed to water quality. We know it can be challenging to find your footing in a new community, but Natalie, myself, and the Illinois Section leadership team are here to help you connect with like-minded professionals and explore opportunities that best fit your interests. Location: Churchill Woods Forest Preserve, 900 W Saint Charles Rd, Lombard, IL 60148

IWEA, ISAWWA, and CSWEA invite all water industry students and young professionals to participate in a morning of volunteering with the DuPage County Forest Preserve at Churchill Woods Forest Preserve on Saturday November 23^rd. This restoration workday will include orientation, a safety talk, and a hands-on natural areas management project.

CSWEA will provide up $1,000 to assist with travel expenses, hotel and registration fee for one Illinois Section YP to attend the 2025 WEF/AWWA YP Summit on February 9-11, 2025 in Dallas, TX.

Application deadline is December 8, 2024. Applicants will be notified by December 13, 2024.
